Slab Reinforcement Welded Mesh

 


 Reinforcement mesh is the welded wire mesh made of hot-dipped galvanized wire, electro galvanized wire, low carbon steel wire for construction structure. Slab reinforcement mesh has the types of Truss- Mesh Reinforcement, Ladder- Mesh Reinforcement. It is the most commonly used for prefabricated reinforcement and is suitable for flat slab construction and surface beds.


Reinforcement Mesh Features:


Materials: mild galvanized wire, hot dip galvanized wire, stainless steel wire.
Simplifies rebar installation; centering utilizes strength of grout.
Allows unrestricted flow of grout or loose fill insulation into CMU cells.
Minimizes re-setting of joint reinforcement around rebar.
Improves resistance to shrinkage cracking.
Provides stronger bond with cross rods in web of block.
Less time devoted to rebar installation, grout pouring.
Meets ASCE/ACI 530 building code requirements for masonry structures and ASTM A 951 (standard specification for masonry joint reinforcing).


Slab Reinforcement Mesh Applications:


Slab reinforcement mesh panels is usually as the construction mesh used in architecture, buildings to solid the structure as retaining walls, suspended floor slabs. The application also includes building wall reinforcement , precast concrete elements, beams and columns, concrete paving overlays and support wall reinforcement.


For the best advantages with the reinforcing welded mesh, when using it, we should take more attention to the materials. The reinforcement welded mesh should be positioned in the right place with the just right height after concrete pour. We can use the plastic or concrete spacers to finish it. Another way is to place the fabric on poured concrete that has been leveled to the desired reinforcement depth. After placing the mesh the concrete can be topped up to the specified overall slab thickness.

Carbon C: max 0.25%.
Sulphur S: max 0.060%.
Phosphorous P: max 0.060%.
Carbon Equivalent Value Ceq: max 0.42%.
Where Ceq = C + Mn/6 + (Cr+V+Mo)/5 + (Cu+Ni)/15.
